Infant Adoption Awareness
It’s not often your work gets recognized by the President of the United States. But that’s just one of the many results of a national broadcast campaign created by Hughes for the Infant Adoption Awareness Council, a division of the National Council for Adoption. The campaign centers around the theme of “Thanks for considering adoption” – a message that applies to the adoptive parents, the siblings, aunts, uncles, teachers, counselors and most important, the birth mother of the adopted child. The TV commercials deliver a simple, yet powerful message that is also carried through in radio, print and transit materials also created for the campaign. After the initial launch, President Bush recognized the work during National Family Week and the commercials and support materials continue to be used in select cities across the country taking the “Thanks for considering adoption” message to places its never been before.
