There are many reasons why the YMCA is important to the community. Unfortunately, most people only think of two things: swimming and exercise. But the YMCA is more, much more. So when the YMCA of Greater St. Louis came to Hughes for help getting out their message, the answer was clear, let the community know all the many reasons why the YMCA is so important to everyone in the St. Louis area. In other words, tell them…That's Y! That's Y you should join the YMCA. That's Y you should volunteer at the YMCA. That's Y you should give money to the YMCA. That's Y the YMCA is such an important part of the St. Louis community.
Using Outdoor, Posters, Direct Mail and other communications vehicles, we focus on specific programs the YMCA offers that, while not well known, are very important to the health, well-being and vitality of the St. Louis community. Each communication material directs the public to ThatsY.org.
ThatsY.org is an online community where the public can go to meet and communicate with YMCA staff. It's a place where they can learn more about Y programs and what the people that run the programs feel about them. Visitors can ask questions of Y staff members, view the different threads and read what current members have to say about the Y.
And because family/community is the most important component of the YMCA mission, ThatsY.org is also designed to ultimately become an interactive place where small communities of Y members and staff can go to share their common Y interests.
